Raymond H. Weber, 93, of Poplar Bluff, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at John J. Pershing V. A. Hospital. He was born July 18, 1924 in Liberty, Canada, to the late Lester Weber and Victoria Cannon Weber. He was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff. He married Florence Hurt, Oct. 26, 1950, in Hazard, Ky. She survives. Raymond served in the United States Army in Company B 503rd Parachute Infantry. He received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medal. Before retiring, Raymond was a respiratory therapist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, being outdoors, and watching baseball. He is also survived by two daughters: Deborah Kay Finley of Columbia, Mo., and Donna Lynn Pyles of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Evelyn Harrison of Alton, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jerad Pyles of Cape Girardeau, Wesley Pyles of Poplar Bluff, and Shade Finley of Columbia; and a great grandchild, Jackson Pyles of Cape Girardeau.
