John R. Murphy

John R. Murphy, 86, died March 28, 2013 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was born October 2, 1926 in Dalgreen. Ill. He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. He owned and managerd several rental properties. He enjoyed being outside, taking care of his animals, and visiting with family and friends. Mr. Murphy is survived by one brother, Kenneth Murphy of Poplar Bluff, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Murphy and Minnie Burgin Murphy; two brothers, Harold Gail Murphy and Curtis Murphy. Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. until 12 noon at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 12 noon. Burial will be at City Cemetery.
