William Paul Taylor, Ii

Major William Paul Taylor II (US Army Ret.)(aka Bill) died peacefully at home at 2:35 AM on September 3, 2017. Major Taylor served during the Korean War and during two tours of combat duty in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart during the Korean conflict. Bill was a member of the KCRC model aircraft flying club. He attended Lee's Summit Baptist church. Bill was a resident of Kansas City, Missouri at the time of his passing. We'll never forget his influence, service and love for us and country. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Lula Belle Magill Taylor, sons Michael, Bruce and Samuel, daughter-in-law Diana Davalos Taylor, daughter/niece Debra Russell, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Patsy Taylor Wells and her daughters in Henderson, NC. Visitation will be 4 - 7 P.M. on Thur. Sept. 7, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home, 366 College, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral service will be at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home on Fri., Sept. 8 at 10 AM. A Military Burial will follow (11AM) on Fri., Sept. 8 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri after the funeral service. In honor and celebration of Major Taylor's military service and life, please consider wearing Red, White and Blue to his services.
