William Leonard Keele, 69, of Williamsville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born November 15, 1954, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Thurman Leon “Monk” Keele, Sr. and Lillian Louise (Colyott) Keele. He married Julie Clark on April 28, 1983, in Poplar Bluff.
Leonard was of the Christian Faith. He retired from Joe's Bridge and Grading. He enjoyed fishing, and playing music, especially the fiddle. He was in his element when he was working or tinkering around the house. Above all else, Leonard loved his family. He was a devoted, and much loved, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Leonard is survived by his wife: Julie; one daughter: Trisha (Jr.) Cross; two sons Charles Keele and Frank (Cyndi) Keele; nine grandchildren: Lindsey (Isaiah) Fann, LeeAnna Cross, Riley Keele, Laney Cross, Emma Keele, Libby Cross, Tristan Keele, Noah Cross, and Lydia Cross; one great grandson: Makel Buchanan; three brothers Leon Keele, Randy (Becky) Keele, Lloyd (Becky) Keele; two sisters: Patsy Carson, and Linda (David) Lacy; along with numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Thurman Leon “Monk” and Lillian Keele; three brothers: Lonnie Keele, Ricki Keele, and Art Keele; one sister: Debbie Ketchum.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, 3:00 – 5: 00p.m. at Oak Hill General Baptist Church in Williamsville with Pastor Jim Schremp officiating. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
