William Bates

William Leonard Bates. 99, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died October 11, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Center. He was born July 21, 1916 in Hohenwald, Tenn. to the late Percy Bates and Hannah Hensley Bates. He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo. William was a member of the Highland Drive Church of Christ. He was a self employed photographer. William married his wife, Mary, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. in 1942. She preceded him in death January 27, 2008. He is survived by three daughters, Barabra Huff (Tom), Sandra Clark (Mitch), and Sharon Bates all of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two grandchildren, Alex Clark (Kathryn) and Zane Clark (Katie) all of Broseley, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 10 AM at Kinsey Cemetery
