Viola Jones

Viola F. Jones, 72, died January 16, 2013 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was born June 6, 1940 in Arkansas. She was a lifetime resident of Butler County. She attended the Assembly of God Church. Viola was a nurse and enjoyed crafting, painting and bird watching. She is survived by one daughter, Diana Meadors of Fairdealing, Mo.; one brother Lawrence E. Leonard of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Alice Friday and Joyce Sue Conner, both of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Keely Garrett of Doniphan, Mo. Graham Barker of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Olivia Casinger of Harviell, Mo., and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence R. Leonard and Martha Newingham Leonard; her husband Clardy Jones; and one daughter, Denise Barker. Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Darryl Friday will officiate.
