Stanley W. Gilmore

Stanley Wayne Gilmore, 69, of Poplar Bluff, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 1, 1947 in Poplar Bluff to the late Douglas Gilmore and Rosie W. Shelton Gilmore. He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith.
On Nov. 25,1974, he married Janet M. Anderson in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Stan was a machine operator for Florsheim Shoe Co., Handy Things Plastic, and Mo-Ark Plasitcs. He enjoyed Cardinal baseball and watching games on TV, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Kirk L. Weatherford and wife, Karla, of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Sue DeArman and husband, Gary, of Dexter; one granddaughter, Nicole Weatherford; and several nephews and nieces and greatnephew and nieces.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at noon. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. J.C. Bryant and Rev. Cathrine Bryant will officiate.
