Sharon Kay (Galiher) Briggs

Sharon Kay Briggs, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born Monday, April 3, 1944, in Mt Vernon, Illinois, to Hershel and Dorothy (Senkint) Galiher. She worked as a pattern cutter and enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, decorating, and bowling. She especially loved her family, who will miss her deeply, and her dog Cody.

Surviving are sons, Joseph Martin of Poplar Bluff, MO, and James Alexander, of Germany, brother, Carl Galiher of Mt Vernon, IL, sisters: Ruth Davis of Poplar Bluff, MO, Joyce Wade of Mt. Vernon, IL, Doris Ozee of Chickasha, OK and Vicki Porter of Mt. Vernon, IL; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Sharon is her fiancé, Terry Quick, of Bunker, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Martin, three brothers, five sisters, and both parents.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home, Inc, 366 College, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Interment will immediately follow at Brown Chapel, Broseley, Missouri.
