Ruth Ann (Russell) Schaefer

Ruth Ann Schaefer, 64, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023, in her home, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born December 7, 1958, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Harry Russell and Della Ann (Mansfield) Russell.

Ruth was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff.  She loved spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by three sons: James (Ann) Schafer of Poplar Bluff, Richard Schafer of Roanoke, Virginia and Fredrick Sparks of Poplar Bluff; two daughters Angela (Mark) Hopper of Poplar Bluff and Amber Schaefer of Colorado; one daughter-in-law Holly Sparks; thirty-two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Della Russell; her husband Edward Scheafer; two sons: Richard Sparks and Mark Scheafer; and one daughter: Crystal Washington.   A host of family and friends also survive.
