Ruth Hendrickson

Ruth Hendrickson, 101, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died January 23, 2013 in Fenton, Mo. She was born June 22, 1911 in Gentry, Arkansas. She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the First Church of God. She was a retired nurse, working many years at Doctors Hospital. She owned and operated Tiny Tots nursery for nineteen years. She enjoyed gardening, arranging flowers, and writing poetry. She was a member of Poplar Bluff Pistol and Riffle Club (section of the Women's Division), the 4-H Quartet, member and president of Mo. Pacific Ladies Club for two terms, and the RSVP Chorus and Rhythem Band. She is survived by two daughters, Darla Starling of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Bonita Potter of Fenton, Mo., six grandchildren, thirteen great granchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ancel Henrickson, her parents James and Clara Patterson Hendrix, and one sister Opal Dare.and one brother,Escohl Hendrix. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Richard Tripplett will officiate. Burial will be at City Cemetery.
