Robert "Bob" Gene Cates, Sr.

Robert “Bob” Gene Cates, Sr., 68, of Booneville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023.

He was born June 06, 1955, Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Thomas Cates and Jimmie (Chapell) Cates.

Bob was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff.  He enjoyed riding his Harley.  He was of the Mormon Faith.

Bob is survived by two sons: Rob Cates Jr. of Columbia and Tyler Wayne Cates; one daughter: Lori Quinton of Wappapello; two sisters: Sandy Woodham and Debbie Moriarity both of Arizona; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Cates and Jimmie Shular.  A host of family and friends also survive.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
