Richard Louise Voll

Richard Louis Voll, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Richard was born October 15, 1945, in Charleston, South Carolina to Richard Charles Voll and Ann (Fisher) Voll.

Richard was of the Catholic faith.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going horseback riding, and going out to eat.  He loved to spend time with his family and friends.  Richard was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He served two tours in Vietnam and earned a Bronze Star, and Purple Heart along with several other medals and ribbons.

Richard is survived by one son: Richard (Jewel) Voll of Iowa; one daughter: Michele (Roy) Fortenberry of Georgia; his significant other: Judy Schmidt; one bonus son: Michael Schmidt; one bonus daughter: Michele (James) Prater; one sister: Jan Davis of Florida; two grandchildren: Kayla Guevara and Ryan Fortenberry; two great grandchildren: Sydney Guevara and Andrew Guevara; five bonus grandchildren: Kimberly Wells, Wyatt Prater, Wade Schmidt, Macy Ketcherside and Riley Ketcherside.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Ann Voll.  A host of family and friends also survive.

Graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.  Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
