Patricia Diane Stamps

April 16, 1936 — September 13, 2020

Patricia Diane Stamps, 84, of Poplar Bluff, while being sung her favorite gospel songs by her family, entered into her eternal home on Sunday, September 13, 2020. She was born April 16, 1936, to the late Thomas Edgar Rocco and Vinetta (Chastin) Rocco.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and worshipped her Lord while attending Family Worship Center.

She married her best friend and lifelong love, Gene Stamps.  Together they shared a passion for praising God through her piano playing and singing.  She was also a member of the Living Way Trio for many years.  Patricia’s godly compassion was reflected in her work as she retired from Lucy Lee Hospital as a head of sterile supplies.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Stamps (Rich) of St. Louis, MO and Randy Stamps of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Sandy Griffin (Jimmy) and Lisa Trainor, all of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Sam Rocco of Clyde, TX and one sister, Joyce Foster of Poplar Bluff, of which she shared a special bond with both of them.  She was well blessed with 10 grandchildren, 13 great-
grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her special son, Rob Chappell (Suzanne) of Poplar Bluff.

A special thanks to Elara Caring hospice and staff members Samantha, Carrie and Sarah.

Awaiting Patricia on the other side was her husband and her parents; three brothers, Jim, Thomas Lee and Junior Rocco and one sister Zeke Hemphill, as well as two daughters, Carolyn Chappell and Karen Stamps and grandson, Sean Bright.

A visitation will be held at the Family Worship Center, on Hwy 53, Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 5:00-7:00PM.  Services will be located at the Family Worship Center, Friday, September 18, 2020 starting at 11:00AM with Rev. Bud & Bonnie Goins officiating.  Burial will be at the City Cemetery.
