Patricia Adkins

Patricia Adkins, 69, died September 14, 2012 at her residence in Doniphan, Mo. Mrs. Adkins was born June 24, 1943 in Gideon, Mo. she had been a long time resident of Butler Co. Mrs. Adkins enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing with her grandchildren and greatgrand-children. Mrs Adkins was preceded in death by her parents Reuben Dunscombe and Merial Torrence Dunscombe, and 5 brothers; Thomas Dunsombe, Bob Dunscombe, Bill Dunscombe, Norman Dunscombe and Jack Dunscombe. Patricia was married to John Adkins Sr. He survives. Also surviving are three sons; Kirk Johnson of Doniphan, Mo., Scott Johnson of Poplar Bluff and Kevin Johnson of Springfield, Mo.; one stepson, John William Adkins Jr. of Calif.; two daughters, Rebecca Johnson and Dana Trenery both of Doniphan, Mo.; one step daughter Dylann Adkins of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Richard Lee Dunscombe of Ill. Bishop Kennely Dunscombe of Ark.; one sister Susan Himmelberg of Ark.; seven grandchildren, Landen Johnson and Blake Johnson both of Springfield, Mo., Courtney Pinkerton of Kennett, Mo., Brittney Scowden, Heather Burns, Sara Johnson and Reuben Johnson all of Poplar Bluff; and four greatgrand-children. A memorial Service will be Monday, September 17, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel with the Bishop Kennely Dunscombe officiating.
