Orlin Douglas Johnson

Orlin D. (Ollie) Johnson graduated to heaven on November 3rd, 2024. Orlin was born at home in Detroit, Michigan on January 16th, 1936, to the late Ora and Minnie (Seypohltowsky) Johnson. Orlin was an only child. Orlin graduated high school from Poplar Bluff Senior High in 1953, in 1954 he married the love of his life, Nadine (Birdsong) Johnson. They were married 69 years. Orlin’s parents and Nadine preceded him in death. The couple had fraternal twins.

In 1975 Ollie and Nadine began Bluff City Garage Door company. The couple owned the business without any partners until they closed the company in April of 2019. The company was never sold or co-owned.

Orlin served many years as the Secretary and Treasurer, and a Deacon at Agee Community Church on Agee Road. Nadine attended the church and once she started dating Orlin he joined the church.

Survivors include their loyal daughter who did accounting for them, Jeanie (Larry) Feagles of Poplar Bluff, grandsons Michael Figgins of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Eric (Amanda) Figgins of Cabot PA.
