Oran A. Cranford, Jr.

Oran A. Cranford, Jr., 87, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died October 10, 2014 at Oakdale Care Center. He was born February 13, 1927 to the late Oran A. Cranford and Dollas Morris Cranford in San Antonio, Tx. He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo.He married Geraldine Van Dyke November 23, 1950 in Houston, Tx. She survives. Mr. Cranford served in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from the University of Houston. He retired from the V.A. Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and listening to music. Also surviving is one son, Steve Cranford of Powell, Wy.; three daughters, Lucinda Fisher of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Susan Price of St. Louis, Mo., and Margaret Crawford of Columbia, Mo.; one sister, Lois Tucker of Dallas, Tx.; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
