Odell Wright III, 58, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away on January 24, 2025

He was born on July 15, 1966, in Malden, Missouri, to Odell Wright II and Lillie (Frank) Wright.

Odell was a hard-working man.  He loved to play his lottery tickets and enjoyed his scooter bikes.  He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Odell is survived by his wife, Elisa Wright; two sons Aaron Cody of Malden, and Cavion (Brittany) Bond of St. Louis County; four daughters, Pam Cody, Carin Cody, Cathy Cody all of Poplar Bluff, and Jessica Morris of Rockford, Illinois; five sisters Debra Stewart of St. Louis, Jackie Wright, Michele Wright, Chandnell Hickman, Jeanine Hickman all of Columbia; four brothers, Troy Wright of Indianapolis, Eric Wright, Free Hickman, Chandell Hickman all of St. Louis; one stepsister, Sandra Reglan; one stepbrother Shandell Odell; twenty grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Lillie Wright; one brother Geoffery (Slap) Wright; one daughter, Monica Cody; and three grandchildren Zje Qualin Cody, Aaron Cody, Jr., and Lanlani Cody.

The family of Odell Wright, III would like to thank each and every one of you for your support, prayers, calls, and visits through such a tough time. We love you all.  May God Bless every one of you. ~ Mrs. Wright.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Emmanuel House of Praise, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.  Homecoming Celebration service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Leroy Williams officiating the service.  Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
