Mary Lee (Brewer) Green

Mary Lee Green, 86, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021.  She was born July 24, 1934 in Savannah, TN to the late Bartly and Gradie (Clay) Brewer.

She married the love of her life, Billy G. Green, Sr., in Paragould, AR in 1953.  They moved to Poplar Bluff in 1988.  She worked in the kitchen at Lucy Lee Hospital.  She used her green thumb in the garden and caring for her flowers.  Mary loved all her grandchildren dearly.

Mary is survived by her husband; three sons, Bill G. Green, Jr., Joseph Green and Rodney Green, all from Ft. Worth, TX; two daughters, Janet Gibson of Ft. Worth, TX, Tammy Angelly (Janine Davis) of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Gene Brewer of St. Louis; one sister, Betty Laymon of Poplar Bluff and a host of grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jacky Green and Randy Green; two daughters, Sherree Pendelington and Tanya Davis; two brothers, Ivy Brewer and Thomas Brewer and three sisters, Robbie Gunnels, Wilma Brewer and Sue Farmer.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 in the Fitch-Hillis Chapel at 10:00AM.  Funeral service will be at 12:00PM with Rev. Michael Davis, Jr. speaking.  Burial will be at City Cemetery.  Masks and social distancing are recommended.
