Martin Manns, 86, died Friday, July 10, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born December 9, 1928 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late John Riley Manns and Olga Mackey Manns. He was a longtime resident of Butler County. He was of the Baptist faith and affiliated with South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church. Martin married Marjory Edwards October 20, 1957 in Poplar Bluff. She survives. He was retired after serving 23 years in the U.S. Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed frogging, gardening, talking about his military service and being around his family. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Millie Campbell of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Delmar Manns of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Clara Rowe of Sun City, Arizona; one grandchild, Matthew Campbell and five great-grandchildren, Michael, Kayla, Jonathan, Miles and Jesse. Proceeding him and death are four brothers and three sisters. A visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at Fitch Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 AM also in the Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Bill Hatch will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery
