Martha Louise (Sommers) Chappel

Martha Louise Chappel, 87, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Cedargate in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Louise was born Monday, December 10, 1934, to James and Vesta (Macom) Sommers in Harrison, Arkansas. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Poplar Bluff all of her life and loved to talk to people about the Bible. She enjoyed making quilts and painting murals at homes she shared with her husband, Daniel.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel, of Poplar Bluff. She is also survived by her brother, Francis (Judy) Sommers of Puxico, MO, and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Marty Chappel, as well as her sister, Veldena Bradish, and brothers, Alfred Sommers and James (Jay) Sommers.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
