Margaret (Peggy) D. Schell, 88, of Cottonwood, Az. died August 23, 2015. She was born May 31, 1927 in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Deloy Maddox and Dena Sparkman Maddox. She was of the Baptist faith. She married Homer Schell April 4, 1946. He preceded her in death Decmeber 23, 2011. Margaret graduated from Poplar Bluff High School, and later she graduated from Arizona State University. She taught bible and home economics at the community college. She cared for foster children. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Margaret is survived by a son, Jerry Wayne Schell of Astoria, Or., and an adopted son Tony Schell of Camp Verde, Az.; two brothers Jim Maddox of Ark. and Jack Maddox of New Mexico; one sister Nancy Morris of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and one grandchild, Kevin Homer Schell of Astoria, Or.; and son-in-law Steve McCleve. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Diane McCleve, a granddaughter Marci McCleve, and a brother Deloy Maddox. She was loved by all and will be missed. There will be a visitation Tuesday from 9 to 11 A.M. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be at 11:30 A.M. at Sparkman Cemetery.
