Lorraine Colter 82, of Poplar Bluff passed away December 29, 2012 at a member of the Third Baptist Church and the Tops Wednesday morning. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and her family. She was married to Leonard Colter October 31, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1993. Surviving are six daughters; Carol Keeney, Kathy Gibbs and husband Terry all of Van Buren, Linda Faust and husband Ed of Clearwater, Fl., Karen Rodery and special friend Rick Yarbor of Poplar Bluff, Elaine Lannom and husband Lanny of Jackson, and JoAnn Pierce and husband Dennis of Ellsinore, Mo.; four sons, Dale Colter and wife Gail, Alan Colter, David Colter, Gary Colter and wife Debra all of Poplar Bluff; one sister Lois Crawford, one brother Leroy Godwin both of Lancaster Ca., twenty seven grandchildren, forty one great-grand children, four great-great grandchildren, and a special friend Cathy Alford. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Frances Godwin, one brother Buell Godwin of Troy, Mi., one daughter Imogene Clark; three grandsons, Jimmie Dale Keeney, Brian Keeney, and Eric Rodery. Visitation will be Monday at 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Mayes and Rev. Shane Mallard officiating.
