Linda L. Britton

Linda L. Britton of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Jan.1,2017. She was born Feb.2,1951 in Ogelsville.She was of the Baptist faith. She loved taking care and being there for her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She liked to bowl, swim, golf, garden, but most of all, to watch her grand kids grow up. She liked to cook and have family and friends over to eat and fellowship on Sunday after church. She worked at home raising her two sons and worked for the city water dept. for ten years. On Feb.9,1971 she married Eugene Britton in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death in Nov. of 2008. She is survived by two sons;Clinton Britton and wife Michelle, and Clifford Britton and wife Colleen;five grandchildren, Maleena, Chloe, Parker, Colin, and Jacob; two brothers, Sherman Stratton, and Gary Stratton,; three sisters Opal Gnocchini Jeanie Melvin, and Darlene Pitman; and several nieces and nephews. Linda Was preceded in death by her parents Oscar Stratton and Lear Stratton; two brothers Eldon Stratton, and Ray Stratton, and one sister Elsie Pankkey. Visitation will be 5p.m. to 7p.m. Wed. Jan.4,2017 in the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday Jan.5, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell, Mo.
