Lillian A. Richardson, 97, of South Carolina, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Wed. Feb. 27, 2014. She was born May 11, 1916 in Fisk, Mo. to the late William A Cravens and Tina Hemingway Cravens. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She married Dale Richardson. He preceded her in death. Lillian retired from nursing. She had worked at the Poplar Bluff Hospital, the John Cochran V.A., Jefferson Barracks, and two nursing homes. She contributed to the repair of the Lady Liberty Veterans of Vietnam Wall. Surviving are one son Ernie Richardson of Van Buren, Mo.; one daughter, Cora Ann Richardson-Wilson of Aiken, South Carolina; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Preceding her in death were two sons, Bobby Richardson and Burke Richardson; three brothers, Bernard Cravens, Wilbur Cravens and Walter (Joe) Cravens; and three sisters, Corene Bathe, Elaine Miller and Kathryn Cravens. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 12 PM in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Ralph Mayes will officiate.
