Laverne I. Ristig

Laverne I. Ristig, 84 of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Ristig was born, May 15, 1926 in Poplar Bluff. She lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 40 years before moving back to Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Ristig was a member of the First Christian Church and loved raising her children. On November 30, 1946 she married Wayne Ristig. He survives. Other survivors iclude; three sons, David Ristig and Michael Ristig both of Orange County, Ca. and Brett Ristig of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Eldon Palmer, Shreveport, Mo.; two sisters, Wilma Burwell of Poplar Bluff and Wanda Clover of Memphis, Tn.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
