Larry Thomas Johnson

Larry Thomas Johnson, Sr., 70, of Doniphan, Mo. died Saturday November 23, 2013. He was born June 10, 1943, in Pemiscot County. He was a long time resident of Butler and Ripley counties. Larry retired from the V.A. Hospital as an LPN. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Oglesville General Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends. He is survived by one son, Larry T. Johnson II of Doniphan, Mo.; one daughter, LaDonna Kay Bailey of Henry Tenn.; one brother, Jerry Johnson of Cauthersville, Mo.; two sisters, Dee Roach of Paragould, Ark, Shelia Hartenstein of Lake of the Ozarks; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ira E. Johnson and Hattie P. Bradshaw Johnson. Visitation will be at 10 A.M Wednesday at Oglesville General Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 11 A.M. The Rev. Bub Ham will officiate. Burial will be in the Oglesville Cemetery.
