Larry E. Hunter

Larry E. Hunter, 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died May 5, 2019 at Delmar Gardens Nursing Home.  He was born May 2, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to the late Pete Hunter and Joanna Dunlap Hunter.  He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff.  Larry was of the Baptist faith.

Larry was a devoted husband and father.  He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren.  He liked fishing and volunteered at bingo.    Larry served in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.  He enjoyed serving his country as a proud Marine.

He is survived by three sons, Larry Carl Hunter of Moore, Okla., Jimmy Joe Hunter of Piedmont, Okla., and Shawn L. Hunter of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Kenna Hunter of Anchorage, AK.; and one brother, Danny Hunter of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service is being planned.  Place, date and time will be posted on Facebook by family.
