Kathryn Yates

was born in Livingston, Ill. May 20, 1924. She was a longtime resident of Butler County. Mrs. Yates was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church. She volunteered at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Yates is survived by two sons; Norvell Yates and wife Iva, of Howard City Mich., and John Lee Yates of Union Mo.; one daughter, Virginia Katheryn Cavness and husband Jack of Poplar Bluff, and one sister; Emily Ulrich of Republic, Mo.; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Yates was married to Norvell R. Yates December 8 1942. He preceded her in death December 20, 1991. Also preceding her were her parents, Elmer Clayton and Emma Johnson Clayton; two brothers, Myhrel Clayton and Lionel Clayton; and one sister, Ruanna Mohme. A private family service is planned.
