Karen Sue (Sheppard) Fowler

Karen Sue Fowler, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on March 26, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving children.

She was born on March 4, 1958, to Charles Edward Sheppard and Wanda (Burns) Sheppard.  On October 16, 1982, Karen married Jerris Fowler.

Karen loved reading, gardening, cooking, and especially loved spending time with her children, and grandchildren.

Karen is survived by four sons, Steven Fowler, Scott Fowler, Devin Sheppard, and Joe (Teresa) Fowler; two brothers, Richard Sheppard, and Jerry Sheppard; one sister, Ruth Ann Davis; six grandchildren, Amber Martin, Kaity Rhine, Brendan Fowler, Clay Fowler, Elizabeth Hindle, and Rhianne Hatton; eight great grandchildren, Nancy, Ricky, Austin, Sophia, Hunter, Nova, Mylah, and Kynderlyn.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wanda Sheppard; two brothers, James Sheppard, and Sammy Sheppard; and four sisters, Bonnie Burris, Charlene Marlow, Norma Ownes, and Debbie Sheppard.  A host of family and friends survive.

Grave side service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Fowler officiating.  Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
