June Marie Taylor

June M. Taylor, 93, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died July 25, 2015 at Westwood Hills Care Center. She was born June 17, 1922, in Greenville, Mo., to the late William Levi Jones and Ester Twidwell Jones. She was a member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church in St. Louis. She lived in St. Louis for forty years. After retiring from Lutheran Medical Center where she worked in food service, she moved back to Poplar Bluff, Mo. She married Fred Taylor Feb. 11, 1956, in Desoto County Mississippi He preceded her in death Oct. 23, 2005. June enjoyed cooking and yard work. She is survived by two granddaughters, Debi Kramer of St. Louis, Mo., and Teri Burton of Carolton, Mo.; five great-grandchildren, Tony Kramer, Carol Kramer, Sean Burton, Cory Burton, and Nick Burton; and one great-great- granddaughter, Remi Mature. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Long, Feb. 1, 2000, five brothers, and one sister. Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10 - 11 AM at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel followed by the funeral service at 11 AM, also in the chapel. The Rev. Bill Orr will officiate. Burial will be at City Cemetery.
