Joy L. Hamilton

Joy L. Hamilton, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died August 26, born January 19, 1930 in Senath, Mo. to the late Jake Davidson and Laura Swindle Davidson. She was a long time resident of Butler County. She was of the Christian faith. October 24 1950, she married Verdell Hamilton at Walnut Ridge, Ark. He preceded her in death March 4, 1999. Joy was a home maker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and animals. She is survived by one son, Rick Hamilton (Cindy) of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Verdonna Vaughn (Larry) of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Stacie McDonald, Derek Vaughn, Tyler Hamilton, Zach Hamilton, Lindsey Hamilton, Brett Powers, and Bradly Powers; four great grandchildren, Trevor, Gracie, Lee-Michael and Annalie McDonald. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Jerry Hamilton and Terry Richard Hamilton. A visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10 to 11 A.M at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. The Bro. Richard Triplett will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
