Jesse G. Hicks, Sr.

Jesse Glen (Buck) Hicks, Sr. passed away August 8, 2017 at John J. Pershing Veterans Hospital. He was a life long resident of Poplar Bluff. He was born Feb. 14, 1934, in Poplar Bluff to the late Walter Ira Hicks and Nola Janice Wilson Hicks. Jesse served in the United States Army. He retired from the Florsheim Shoe Co.. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Ann Hicks: one son, Danny R. Hicks Sr. (Diane); three grandchildren, Danny R. Hicks, Jr. (Ciara), Jesse G. Hicks III, and Chelsea Ann Becker; two step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren. One son, Jesse Glen Hicks, Jr. preceded him in death. A visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. at City Cemetery.
