Jerry Dale Gross

Jerry Dale Gross, 70, of Wappapello, Mo. died March 31, 2013 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born April 25, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. He was a long time resident of Butler County. Mr. Gross was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 153, VFW Post 3416, and the Wappapello Eagles. He loved being out on the water. He worked in maintenance at Three Rivers Community College. Choosing to help others, Mr. Gross was an organ donor. Mr. Gross is survived by one daughter, Lorie Larsen and husband Roger of Omaha, Neb.; one sister Diana Harwell and husband John, of Imperial, Mo.; a long time companion, Jeanette Jones; and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. Gross and Sophia Hankins Gross. There will be a Celebration of Life at the VFW at Wappapello, Mo. at 5 PM Friday, April 5, 2013.
