James Edward Boyd

James Edward Boyd, 85, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1932 at Rombauer, Mo. to the late Johnny G. Boyd and Elaine Wallace Boyd. He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. He married Ann Marie Wiss July 14, 1956 in San Diego, Cal. She preceded him in death Feb.12, 2010. James was proud to have served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by three sons, James Boyd of Poplar Bluff, John Boyd of St. Genevieve, and Jeff Boyd of Endwell, New York: seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
