James K. Bess

James K. Bess, 76 of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died September 11, 2011, at his resident. Mr. Bess was born February 28, 1935 in Dudley, Mo. Mr. Bess was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. Mr. Bess owned and operated a flea market. He enjoyed fishing and going to flea markets. On October 11, 1956, he married Vernon Forsythe in Poplar Bluff. She survives. Mr. Bess was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Bess and Ida May Bess. He is survived by one daughter, Cherryl Lacy of Poplar Bluff. One son James Bess of Poplar Bluff, Mo. One brother, Benjamin Bess of Whidby Island, Washington, and three sisters, Anna Bediant of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Vivian Urban of Bellville, Il., and Emily Wooldridge of Sweet Springs, Mo. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Bess was in the Airforce and a veteran of the Viet Nam conflict.
