Jack R. Welsh, 71, died June 23, 2012 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Mr. Welsh was born May 2, 1941, in Doniphan, Mo. He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. Mr. Welsh enjoyed fishing, working with children, and teaching baseball. He graduated 1968. He was employed with the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a brakeman. Mr. Welsh was in the Army USAR Transportation Corps. Served a tour in Vietnam. He received the Vietnam cross of Gallantry with Palm, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Bronze Star. Mr. Welsh married Sally Brillhart, July 16, 1966, in Hanover, Pa. She survives. Also surviving are three sons; Chris Welsh and wife Faith of South Carolina, Randy Welsh and wife April of Ava, Mo., and Tony Welsh, one daughter; Angela Welsh and fiance Dan Linn of Chambersburg, Pa., and one brother William Welsh of Poplar Bluff. Preceding Mr. Welsh in death were his parents, Richard Welsh and Pauline Crane Welsh, one brother; Dean Welsh and one sister; Margaret Powell. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
