Ida Mae Howell

Ida Mae Howell, 84, of Liberty, Texas, died Monday, December 22, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She was born September 25, 1930, in Buffalo, Mo. to the late Lane Beckham and Carrie Opal Warren Beckham. She lived in Liberty, Texas and was a homemaker. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Howell of Moss Bluff, Texas, and Robert Howell of Pasadena, Texas; one daughter, Debbie Shane of Liberty, Texas; two brothers, Gary Beckham of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Carl James Beckham of Indiana; three sisters, Helen Batson of O'Fallon, Mo., Betty Davison of Leesburg, Mo. and Mildred Price of LaPorte, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Amos Howell; two sons, Larry Howell, and Danny Howell; a grandson, William Thomas Downs II; three brothers, Gene Beckham, Howard Beckham, and Ray Beckham; two half- brothers, Big Carl Beckham, and Joe Beckham; and one sister, Maxine Sliter. Visitation is at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Everet Gunter will officiate. Burial will be at City Cemetery.
