Hazel R. Hodo

Hazel R. Hodo, 98, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Feb. 6, 2014. She was born June 3, 1915 in Doniphan, Mo. She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Hazel retired from Kneibert Clinic. She worked in registration. She married Vester Hodo Dec. 24, 1932 in Doniphan, Mo. He preceded her in death in August of 1988. Surviving are one son, Don Hodo (Mary) of Willow Springs, Mo.; three daughters, Shirley Ballard (Max) of Doniphan, June Boyett (Bob) of Fairview, Tn., Kathy Hodo of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Earl Featherston of Lake Charles, La.; Mary Young of West Memphis, Ar.; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Also preceding in death were her parents, Jess Featherston and Roezetta Ponder Featherston. Visitation will be at the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel Monday, Feb.10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Reverend Bob Featherston will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens.
