Gertrude K. Mureno

Gertrude K. Mureno, 78, died July 29, 2013 in Wentzville, Mo. She was born August 4, 1934 in Ontario, Or. She was a longtime resident of Butler Co. Gertrude was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Gertrude was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a Member of the K-C etts and a member of St. Ann's Society. She was married to George Mureno Jan. 26, 1957. He preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2003. She is survived by three sons, Tom Mureno and Jennifer Atcliff of Longview, Tx., Roy Mureno of Mt. Vernon, Wash., John Mureno of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two daughters, Angie Norwood and Phillip of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Amanda Leake and Ray of Wentzville, Mo.; two brothers, Joe Mollahan of Ontario, Or., Micheal Mollahan of Spokane Valley, Wa., three sisters, Rose Miller of Melbourne, Fl. Dominica Mollahan of Santa Rose, calif. Margariet Ollenbrook of Portland, Or.; nine grandchildren, Ashley Mureno, Brittany Mureno both of Sedro Woolley, Wash., Anthony Mureno of Portland, Ma., Megan Mureno of Calif., Wyatt Leake of Wentzville, Mo., Krysten Leake of Columbus, Oh., Ryne Leake of Notre Dame, Ind., Catie Norwood and Ben Norwood both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one Great-grandchild, Natalye McAfee of Columbus, Oh. Preceding her in death were her parents, John Mollahan and Catherine Fitzpatrick Mollahan and one brother, John Mollahan. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM followed by a Rosary Service at 7 PM at Fitch Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be Friday at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Joseph Kappilumakkal Mathai will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Capital Campaign.
