Gary Thomas

Gary Lee Thomas, age 64, died at his home in Poplar Bluff MO on April 18, 2011. Gary is survived by his wife Jackie and three children, Richard Michael Thomas-- Indianapolis, IN, Wrandi Lea Clayton --Webb City, MO. and Susan Jean Gulley--Columbia, Mo. He is also survived by two sisters Mary Jane Smith of Goshen Arkansas and Georgia Harpole of Oronogo, MO and 16 grandchildren. Gary was a 1965 graduate of Webb City High School and a graduate of Missouri Southern State University. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam War. He worked for Schreiber Cheese in Carthage Missouri for more than 17 years. As a store manager for the Heilig Meyers Furniture Chain, he opened three stores in Missouri during the 1990s, before moving to Poplar Bluff in 1999. He retired from the Hefner Furniture Store of Poplar Bluff in 2009.
