Frances Alford

Frances Alford, 87, of Poplar Blluff, Mo. died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Mark Twain Caring Center. Frances was born January 15, 1929 in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Milton Philo Smith and Anna Marie Catarnichi Smith. She was married to James Raymond Alford. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Surviving are 2 sons, Dennis Alford and Dale Alford, both of Poplar Bluff; one sister Betty Leahman of St. Louis, Mo.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were three daughters, Barbara Morrisette, Shirley Rosboschiel, and Betty Griffin. Visitation will be Sunday at 1:00 P.M. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Mo.
