Faye Sandlin

Faye Sandlin, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died July 14, 2014 at her home. Faye was born July 3, 1942 to the late Harvey and Elizabeth Dickens in Chelyan, W. Virginia. She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Highland Drive Church of Christ.On Jan. 8, 1959, she married Lorenzo Lee Sandlin in Broseley, Mo. He preceded her in death July 29, 2004.Faye enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with family and friends. She was employed by the Mo. State Hwy. Patrol as a house keeper.She is survived by three sons, Lorenzo Sandlin, and brothers, Raymond Dickens of Peytona, W. Virginia and Roger Dickens of Franklin, Ind.; two sisters, Zola McGriff of Vidor, Tx. and Joyce Muthart of Ravenswood, W. Virginia; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.Besides her parents, preceding her in death were one son Willie Sandlin; one brother, Willis Dickens; and one grandson, Matthew Ryan Sandlin.Visitation will be July 22, 2014, Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. also in the chapel. Bro. Keith Sandlin will officiate. Burial will be in City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908..
