Evelyn Louise (Davis) Hill

Evelyn Louise Hill, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Aug.  3, 2024, in Union, Missouri surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born Nov.11, 1941, in Poplar Bluff, to Joseph Davis and Virgina (Koonce) Davis.

She enjoyed fishing, reading, going to yard sales, and resale shops.  Evelyn especially loved to spend time with her family.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Roger Hill of Poplar Bluff; three daughters, Annette Luke of Williamsville, Christina (Rob) Carter of Union, and Mary Burkeen of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Gary Davis, and Steve Davis; five sisters, Carol Rist, Loretta Davis, JoAnn Nance, Thelma Nance, and Vanessa Brooks; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great -great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virgina Davis; four sons, Joe Hill, Jerry Hill, Bryon Hill, and Jeffery Hill; and two brothers, Don Davis, and Norman Davis.  A host of family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel. 366 College St., Poplar Bluff.  Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rowdy Boyer officiating the service.  Interment will follow funeral service at Bay Springs Cemetery of Poplar Bluff.
