Eric D Hicks

Eric Dewey Hicks, 56, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Eric was born December 6, 1967, in Poplar Bluff, to Edward Hicks, II and Joyce (Sparks) Hicks.

He lived in Poplar Bluff all of his life.  Eric enjoyed cooking, baking, woodworking, traveling, and guns.  He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Eric is survived by two sons: Kenny (Mandy) Hicks and Quentin Hicks both of Poplar Bluff; four daughters: Christen (Brad) Cowan of Friendswood, Texas, Sarah (Dakota) McElhaney of Poplar Bluff, Tabitha (Lance) Hensley of Poplar Bluff, and Meagan (Tyler) Batton of St. Louis; his mother: Joyce Hicks; love of his life: Sandra Greer; two brothers: Edward Hicks, III and Jared Hicks; one sister Linda (Carmen) Pitt of Wyoming; thirteen grandchildren: Shae, Julia, Navaeh, Isabella, Skye, Callie, Brody, Beau, Bryson, Luka, Caden, Ella, and Ava.  Eric was preceded in death by his father Edward Hicks; one daughter Jessica Hicks.  A host of family and friends also survive.
