Elsie Sparks

Elsie L. Sparks, 80, longtime resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Sparks was born August 24, 1930 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed babysitting, reading, scrapbooking, sewing, and listening to country music. preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Ricky Sparks and wife, Deenie, of Ellsinore, Mo, Curtis Sparks and wife, Sherry, of Seattle, Wa, and Chuck Sparks and wife, Margaret, of Poplar Bluff, Mo; two daughters, Veronica Deaton of Poplar Bluff, Mo, and Charlene Parker and husband, Roger, of Poplar Bluff, Mo; two sisters, Vernon Bess and Virginia Fowler, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo; two brothers, Donald Forsythe and Martin Forsythe, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm on Friday, February 25, 2011 in the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Brosley, Mo.
