Elizabeth J. McLean, 84, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was born June 10, 1928 in Burbank, Mo. in Wayne County. Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the Community Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, cooking for her family, and a member of the Eastern Star. Elizabeth is survived by five sons; Robert McLean of Greenridge, Mo., Frank McLean of St. Louis, Mo., Louis McLean of Puxico, Mo., David McLean of Independence, Mo., and Daniel McLean of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three daughters, Beverly Holrath, Ruth Zahner, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Dorothy Contini of Lancaster, Ky.; two sisters, Bessie Taylor of Hampton, Va., Helen Brenenstahl of Long Beach, Wa.; twenty three grandchildren and nine great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas G. McLean, her parents Claude L. McAllister and Laura A. Barks McAllister; one son, Loven McLean and one brother Hershel Lee McAllister. Visitation is Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 am at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the chapel. Brother Jack Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery in Greenville, Mo. Memorials may be made to UCAN.
