Eldon D. Colclasure, 90, died February 17, 2013 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was born September 13, 1922 in Louisville, Ill. to Orion Clyde Colclasure and Lillian Belle Slattor Colclasure. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Mr. Colclasure married Roberta Brown in Poplar Bluff July 11, 1949. She survives. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. He was a retired school teacher. He was a member of Tost Masters, enjoyed watch making, was a muscian, an author, a ham radio operator, and making mandolins. He is survived by three sons, Rea Colclasure of Alma Ill., Jon D. Colclasure of Poplar Bluff, and Dale Colclasure of Houston Tx.; one daughter, Ruth Ann Donaldson of Lexington,Ky.; two brothers, George W. Colclasure of Effingham, Ill. and Ford M. Colclasure of Memphis, Tn.; and one sister, Mary Lou Scamehorn of Albuquerque, NM., fifteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be at 12:00 PM at the funeral home chapel. Dr. Steven Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Mo. State Verterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
