Elaine Marie (Michael) Smith

Elaine Marie Smith, 47, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

She was born September 15, 1975, Kokomo, Indiana to James Michael and Doris (Williams) Michael.

Elaine was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff.  Elaine was working towards becoming an early childhood teacher.  She enjoyed sewing and reading.  She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by one son: Jacob Smith of Silva; two daughter: Rebecca Smith of Williamsville and Elizabeth Smith of Poplar Bluff; her parents: James Michael, of Kokomo, Indiana and Doris Frantz of Poplar Bluff; three brothers James Michael of Poplar Bluff, Robert Michael of Poplar Bluff and Roger Michael of Alabama ; one sister Tonya Tanner of Kokomo, Indiana; ten grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held Monday,  July 24, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.  Fitch-Hillis funeral home is assisting with all arrangement.
