Dorothy Jeffries

November 15, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Jeffries was born March 13, 1929 in St. Louis, Mo. She retired from the Florsheim Shoe Fractory. Mrs. Jeffries was a member of Midland Church. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and canning out of her vegetable garden. On Nov. 12, 1949, she married Charles Jeffries in Piggott, Ar. He preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Jeanne Dennis and husband, Greg, of Tallessee, Ala.; one son, Carlos Jeffries and wife, Rhonda, of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Mary L. Asher of St. Louis, Mo., Norma Wilson of Coldwater, Mo., and Earlene Copeland of House Springs, Mo.; 2 brothers, George Tibbs of Fredricktown, Mo., and Jerry Tibbs of Florence, Ws. Four grandchildren, Chris Jeffries of Poplar Bluff, Derek Jeffries of Memphis Tn., Shane Booth of Alanta, Ga. and Jill Durham of Tallessee, Ala.; and five great-grandchildren, Chance Jeffries, Parker Jeffries, and Jacob Jeffries all of Poplar Bluff, Phillip McDaniel of Memphis, Tn. and John Corley of Tallessee, Ala. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mabel Raglin Tibbs, three brothers, Leroy Tibbs, Bill Tibbs and Floyd Kenneth Tibbs.
