Don Smith

Morehouse, Mo. to Lawrence and Myrtle Maddox Smith. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. August 24,1946 he married Anna Moore. She survives. Mr. Smith was a longtime resident of Butler county, of the pentecostal faith and a member of the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Other survivers include; two sons, Gary Smith and Larry Smith of Poplar Bluff, one daughter, Louise Britton of Sikeston, One brother, Bobby Smith of O'Fallon, Mo., two sisters, Erma Wilson of Morehouse, and Dorothy Peel of Desha, Ark.; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. He is preceeded in death by four sisters; Janet Parker, Pansy McNeese, Regina Yates and Lily Hughes. Visitation is 2p.m. -5p.m. Sunday January 27, 2013 at the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday January 28, 2013 at the Conerstone Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Bryan Parkey officiating. Burial will follow at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Mo.
